Comparing P2C with other canvas vendors

Quite often I'm asked why we don't price match with other canvas vendors. First off, all of our canvases are different, plus there is SO much more to it than just what you see at a sale price - read on and dig a little deeper...

1. You ARE NOT required to put your logo on the front of your images for the sample discount. EVER. We’re grownups. We trust you.
2. You DO NOT have to pay extra for the backing paper – it’s included.
3. You DO NOT have to pay extra for the hanging hardware – all included and installed.
4. You DO NOT have to pay by weight for the shipping – we have a flat fee.
5. You can ALWAYS upload an image placeholder - "Image Coming Soon" to take advantage of a sale, or just whenever you wish. Just email us the image and reference your order number when you're ready. There are no gift certificates or credit balances to keep track of. And, if you change your mind and want a different size, we'll either bill you or refund the difference.
   
6. We NEVER do “Digital Stretching” of your image to create room for your wrap. We liken this effect to paint running down the edge of your canvas....we evaluate each image and clone / create where possible to have the most seamless edge for your canvas – and not that dripping paint look. This service is FREE – no extra charge.
7. If you go below the canvas, our Gallery Wrap frames are 1.5 inch by 1.38 inch custom would mouldings joined with top of the line framing equipment (Cassise). Others are simple wooden sticks about 1/2 inch thick stuck together with a nail gun.
8. We love to work with you. Have a cool idea for a display? Let’s talk! A neat idea for something you’d like to offer your clients? Bring it! Have questions on the best crop? Ask away! That’s what we’re here for – we’re partners with YOU. Don’t see the size you need listed? Call us – we cut all our own frames each day – so custom sizes are no problem.

If you compare the final products, 9 out of 10 customers will clearly see the difference in the quality of the end product. And during this time when people are watching every penny, we feel that by maintaining the utmost quality, you, our partner photographers will still be able to command the best prices and markups for their work.

We understand that when a canvas leaves our studio, it will be marked up 200-1000% when it is purchased by your customer. We never forget this and we make sure that the product you receive is worthy of that markup....and if it’s not...we make it right. That’s why we firmly believe that when it comes out of that box, it had better be ready to hang on your customer’s wall – no playing around with installing hardware or explaining about frame keys and tightening sprays – which, if the piece is built and stretched properly, aren’t necessary.

So the questions you need to ask yourself are...

1. Do you choose a studio based on the quality of their product, or the price for their samples during a big sale? Shouldn’t you show the canvas you’re going to deliver to your customers?
2. Do you REALLY know the cost of the product put face to face? Everything included? This means backing, hanging hardware, ACTUAL shipping costs, turnaround time, customer service and choice of product?
